Katie is a Registered Physiotherapist with a keen interest in helping active individuals recover from injury and excel in their sports. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University where she was awarded an athletic scholarship for NCAA Division 1 springboard and platform diving.
Katie has recovered from several sports injuries and surgeries. She understands the frustration of not being able to participate in her sport and the importance of getting back to it as soon as possible. As a physiotherapist, she strives to find appropriate modifications to sports and activities so clients can continue to stay active as they recover. She also has experience treating clients with chronic injuries and long-standing pain.
Katie has additional certifications in contemporary medical acupuncture and in pelvic health, which allow her to assess and treat men and women with incontinence, and a variety of pelvic pain conditions.
As the host of a podcast focused on functional health and sports medicine, Katie has had the opportunity to travel internationally and learn from leading pain scientists, clinicians and researchers in this field. Dr. Samantha Reid is a passionate sports and fitness enthusiast, as well as a dedicated chiropractor. Throughout her athletic career Dr. Sam has played a multitude of competitive and recreational sports; most notably she played rugby for Team Ontario and her University. Dr. Sam received a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Wilfrid Laurier University, which was where her passion for rehab began. While suffering multiple injuries on the field, she was able to experience the recovery process from an athlete’s point of view, and this was what drove her towards the other side of that scenario.
Dr. Sam proceeded to complete her 4 year Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College here in Toronto. While completing her degree she spent time working as an emergency first responder for youth sports, and an assistant trainer to a local Junior C hockey team.

She obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy at Queens University after completing her Bachelors of Science with Honours in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph.
